PMPL SEA Wildcard Spring 2023

 The PUBG Mobile Pro League - SEA Wildcard recently concluded on March 5th, 2023, and it was a thrilling event for PUBG Mobile enthusiasts. The league featured 20 teams from the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Singapore, with a total prize pool of $40,000 USD.

The tournament took place from February 15th to 26th, 2023, with the top 16 teams advancing to the finals held from March 3rd to 5th, 2023. The teams were initially divided into five groups of four, with teams competing in five matchdays over two weeks. The groups were formed randomly in Week 1, while in Week 2, teams were grouped based on their Week 1 placements.

Each matchday featured five matches, with teams playing four matches in each group. The teams were awarded bonus points based on their placements after each week, with the total bonus points accumulated during Week 1 and Week 2 determining their Finals Initial Points.

In the finals, the teams started with Initial Points accumulated from the League, and 18 matches were played over three days. The top four teams at the end of the tournament received a direct qualification to the PUBG Mobile Southeast Asia League (PMSL SEA).

The tournament was won by Genesis Esports, who secured the first place and a spot in the PMSL SEA with a prize money of $6,400 USD. The second spot went to Five of Danger, who earned $5,400 USD, followed by Kill Enemy in third place with $2,400 USD and Osja Esports in fourth place with $2,900 USD.

The remaining teams placed from fifth to twentieth and earned prize money between $200 to $2,200 USD, respectively. West Point Mamba, who placed eighth, received $3,600 USD, while Falcon Esports, who placed sixteenth, received $850 USD.

Apart from the cash prizes, the tournament also recognized individual players' performances in various categories. Michi69 from West Point Mamba won the Season MVP award, MarNett from Yangon Galacticos won the Gunslinger award, Smile from Genesis Esports won the Grenade Master award, Dragon from GameLab Alpha won the Eagle Eye award, DeeZyOP from Osja Esports won the Survivor award, and Noti4K from SKR Equal won the Field Medic award.

Overall, the PUBG Mobile Pro League - SEA Wildcard was a thrilling event, with teams battling it out for the top spot and a chance to qualify for the PMSL SEA. The tournament showcased some impressive PUBG Mobile gameplay, and the teams' performances were commendable. We look forward to more such events in the future, and may the best team win!
