The PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Thailand Spring 2023 was held from February 15th to 26th, 2023. It featured 20 of the best teams in Thailand, with 16 teams from the PMPL Thailand Fall 2022 and 4 teams from the PUBG Mobile National Championship Thailand 2022. The event was divided into two weeks, with each week consisting of 5 matchdays from Wednesday to Sunday. Each matchday had 5 matches, and the teams were grouped into 5 groups of 4 for the first week and then based on their Week 1 placements for the second week.
The top team at the end of the tournament was HAIL Esports, who won the championship and $15,000 USD. They also qualified for the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) Spring 2023. If the Champions are a PMSL Partnership Team, the next best team will also qualify. The second-place team was Vampire Esports, who won $10,500 USD. The third and fourth places were won by Bacon Time and Buriram United Esports, who won $5,250 USD and $3,000 USD respectively
The prize pool for the event was $60,000 USD, which was distributed among the participants according to their placements. The fifth-place team, Bermuda Esport, won $1,875 USD. The sixth-place team, XERXIA Esports, won $1,500 USD. The seventh and eighth places were won by TEM Entertainment and The Infinity, respectively. The ninth to 16th places were won by Four Angry Birds, Sharper Esport, ETN Esports Gaming, Esports Wala, King of Gamers Club, MS Chonburi, CHILLZ ESPORTS, and Fast 9 Esports. The 17th to 20th places were won by 47 Gaming, Valdus Esports, FaZe Clan, and ONICHI.
In addition to the team rankings, several individual players were recognized for their outstanding performances in the tournament. NOOzy from Vampire Esports won the Season MVP award and $700 USD. SchwepXz, also from Vampire Esports, won the Gunslinger and Field Medic awards, which came with a $375 USD prize for each category. NOOzy also won the Grenade Master award, which also came with a $375 USD prize. CONCEPT from Buriram United Esports won the Eagle Eye award, also worth $375 USD.
The PMPL Thailand Spring 2023 was a highly competitive and exciting event that showcased the skills of some of the best PUBG Mobile players in Thailand. The tournament provided an opportunity for players to demonstrate their teamwork, strategy, and individual skills in a highly competitive environment. With the success of this event, the future looks bright for the PUBG Mobile esports scene in Thailand, and we can expect more thrilling competitions in the coming years.
